Last night, I received a disturbing email from a friend of mine. Here is the email and my response:
All joking aside, this is a disgusting email (from that other person). How often do we say something along the lines of "The chachamim teach us..." or "The Chofetz Chaim says..."? This is a case of someone bashing Chabad for no good reason.
Someone feels the need to 'bash' someone wearing a "Yechi..." kippah by saying, "Get it in your head, he is dead!" and yet this very same person, on at least a monthly basis, says "Dovid Melech Yisroel CHAI V'KAYAM". Um...in light of the document that is known as Sefer Melachim, he's dead too!
I know that you don't truly believe what this other person wrote.
cheers,

Several times this week I have heard a commercial on the radio sponsored by the Lubavitcher Youth Organization. In it Rabbi Shmuel Butman says, "The Lubavicher Rebbe Encourages us ....." I can only wonder at the use of the present tense in light of the document that I have posted at [PDF link of death certificate removed] and [JPEG link of death certificate removed].
Someone I know once approached a fellow wearing a "Yechi" yarmulka and said to him, "Get it in your head, he is dead!"
Indeed, indeed!
